In April 2000, a group of south Indian believers from diverse backgrounds united with the late Pastor Valson Samuel to establish a church in Carrollton, Texas — birthed from a God-given vision to reach souls across the Dallas metroplex. Pastor Samuel’s heart was anchored in discipleship, equipping the body through the five-fold ministry, cultivating a vibrant youth movement, and advancing global missions. True to its name, the church continues to shine the light of the Gospel into places of spiritual darkness, proclaiming hope, truth, and transformation.
To be an apostolic church as in the Book of Acts — walking in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, abiding in the love of the Father and communing with the Holy Spirit, proclaiming the Gospel, manifesting apostolic power, making disciples through apostolic teaching, and worshiping God with one heart, one mind, and one spirit.
To inspire and practice meaningful spiritual fellowship (expressing in the Holy Spirit), a fervent prayer culture, reading and meditation of Scriptures, and shameless serious praise and worship.
We are committed to loving one another IN TRUTH, deeply from the heart, and all equally without a spirit of favoritism. In every word and deed, we reflect the love of Jesus — patient, kind, and enduring.
[Jn 15:12; Jam 2:2; 2 Jn 1:1; 3 Jn 1:1].
We reject a spirit of complaint and murmur and embrace a posture of praise
[Phil 2:14,15].
We value honest reproof, rebuke or admonition instead of confrontation to build one another. We reject gossip and passive silence and animosity, choosing instead to speak truth in love (without pride) and grace, listen with humility, and pursue reconciliation.
[Ps 141:5; 1 Tim 5:1,2; Eph 4:15]
Forgive at all costs, for an unimaginable price was paid for our forgiveness. There is no cause under the sun for bitterness and we
degrade none with bitterness.
[Matt 18:35; Eph 4:32]
Apart for matters of faith which was once and for all handed down to the saints, we reject contention and choose peace, entrusting every conflict to the Lord. Rather than fight for control, we yield to His wisdom, trusting that He defends, restores, and judges righteously.
[Eph 5:21; Jaam 3:13-18]
We respect all and honor all people, regardless of status, background, age, caste, creed, language or one’s efficiency or maturity. In every interaction, we reflect the love of Christ — showing grace without favoritism and truth without pride, and looking down on none.
[1 Pet 2:17]
